Everything You Need to Know for ESL Impact League Season 6

Monday, August 26, 2024, Cologne/New York/Stockholm – Anticipation is running high as the world’s best women’s Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) teams and esports fans are getting ready for another electrifying season of ESL Impact. From August 28 – October 20, ESL Impact League Season 6 is set to showcase the pinnacle of women’s esports, with some of the world’s best teams going head-to-head in their respective regions for a chance to compete live in front of fans at DreamHack Stockholm in Stockholm, Sweden later this year, claim a share of the $150,000 total prize pool, and be crowned the new ESL Impact Champion. Among the participants, Imperial fe, the undefeated title-holder, will be aiming to extend their dynasty and obtain their eighth consecutive trophy. 

Beginning on August 28, ESL Impact League Season 6 will see the top 28 all-women CS2 teams from Europe, North America, and South America battling it out online to secure one of eight spots at this season’s Global Finals at DreamHack Stockholm on November 22-24, 2024. 

Launched at the beginning of 2022, ESL Impact is a part of EFG’s #GGFORALL initiative, which aims to create safe, inclusive spaces for marginalized gamers. For more than two years, it has constantly diversified the competitive landscape and improved representation in esports by creating safe spaces for women to compete. By highlighting role models and inspiring women to pursue careers in esports, ESL Impact challenges stereotypes and fosters a new empowered generation of gamers. The initiative provides teams, talent, players, staff, fans, and more with a dedicated ecosystem and year-round programming, creating a more diverse and equal gaming environment for everyone. 

Schedule and Format

ESL Impact League Season 6: August 28 to October 20

  • Europe:
    • The European region has two groups of six teams.
    • The Group Stage will be a single round-robin, and all matches will be best-of-three.
    • The first-placed team in each group will advance to the Global Finals, and the second and third-placed teams from each group will play deciders to qualify. The top three teams will advance to the Season Finals
  • North America:
    • North America has one group of eight teams.
    • The Group Stage will be a single round-robin, and all matches will be best-of-three.
    • The winner will advance to the season’s Global Finals.
  • South America:
    • South America has one group of eight teams.
    • The Group Stage will be a single round-robin, and all matches will be best-of-three.
    • The winner and the runner-up will advance to the season’s Global Finals.

ESL Impact Season 6 and its live Global Finals will be available on FACEIT Watch, featuring a unique multi-perspective view selector where users can watch up to four players’ perspectives, pause and rewind key moments, and access killcams and live-generated replays of key moments. The platform also allows fans to adjust the volume of casters and multi-perspective sounds, as well as disabling spoilers, letting them personalize how they engage with the streaming content.
