gamescom 2015 is set to see ESL, the world’s largest esports company, host over 15 games across two halls and award a sum total of over US$200,000 to esports champions from around the world. Featured games in the ESL Arena powered by Twitch include: StarCraft® II: Heart of the Swarm™, Hearthstone®: Heroes of Warcraft™ League of Legends®, Counter-Strike®: Global Offensive, Battlefield™ 4, Halo® 5: Guardians, FIFA 15, SMITE®, Guild Wars® 2, S.K.I.L.L. - ESL Meisterschaft Finals in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Hearthstone, StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm and FIFA 15 on Playstation 4– (Sunday 09.08.)
The ESL Meisterschaft will crown its summer champions across League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, StarCraft II, Hearthstone and FIFA 15 (on PlayStation® 4) at gamescom 2015. Don’t miss out on any of the action as the ESL Meisterschaft takes over gamescom hall 9 in its 30th season, having crowned more than 150 champions to date!
- Halo 5: Guardians gamescom Invitational 2015 – (Wednesday 05.08. – Sunday 09.08.)
Join us for the first look at Halo 5: Guardians esports at the gamescom Invitational! Taking place in the ESL Arena, the tournament will feature three of Europe’s top Halo teams: Epsilon esports, Supremacy, CAZ.Esports, and also one of the top teams from North America – OpTic Gaming. The players will be battling it out in Halo 5’s brand new Arena multiplayer, which focuses on pure, skill-based 4v4 competitive combat. Do the European teams have what it takes to hold it down on their home turf? Tune in via the Halo Channel and Twitch.tv/Halo on Friday, August 7th starting at 15:00 CEST to find out!
- ESL One Battlefield 4 Summer 2015 Finals – (Thursday 06.08. – Friday 07.08.)
The ESL One Battlefield 4 Summer 2015 Finals will once again take place at gamescom! This year awarding over US$35,000 in prize money to the top teams, the event is not to be missed: catch the best Battlefield 4 teams from around the world compete for the game’s most prestigious esports title in hall nine!
- FINAL FANTASY XIV – (Wednesday 05.08. – Sunday 09.08.)
FINAL FANTASY XIV Online will be featured over 198 square meters filled with 32 free gaming computers and a large stage for live shows and matches between the game’s best players. The perfect homage for a game that has been evolving since its initial release, gamescom will showcase the best of Square Enix’s latest expansion Heavensward™ and awarding prizes to members of the audience able to beat the fearsome primals.
- SMITE Pro League Fall Split – (Friday 07.08.)
The Smite Pro League Fall Split will kick off on Friday, August 7 of gamescom with a show match between two top European teams, Titan and Fnatic. This will be the first match of the final split of the SMITE Pro League Season which will ultimately decide which teams go to the 2016 SMITE World Championship. The show match will start at 10:00 a.m. CEST.
- Dr. Pepper Allstar Tournament in League of Legends – (Thursday 06.08.)
Those who think they have what it takes to defeat SK Gaming’s League of Legends team, will battle it out in the Dr. Pepper Allstar Tournament on the gamescom Thursday. The best amateur teams will have fought their way through multiple qualifiers for a chance to prove themselves on the big stage in front of their favourite pro players… But only one team can win!
- Guild Wars 2 World Tournament Series Finals – (Saturday 08.08.)
The prestigious Guild Wars 2 World Tournament Series Finals will play out on Saturday, August 8 of gamescom and award over $50,000 in prizes to the best teams in the world. The WTS starts at 10:00 a.m. CEST and will be streamed live on the official Guild Wars 2 Twitch channel. Representing the pinnacle of Guild Wars 2 PvP competition across North America, Europe and China, the tournament is the ultimate showdown between the world’s best players.
- ESL S.K.I.L.L. Special Force 2 Pro League Finals – (Thursday 06.08.)
The ESL S.K.I.L.L. Special Force 2 Pro League Finals at gamescom 2015 is set to award over €50,000 in prize money across the eight top performing teams. – Over €35,000 was community-funded through in-game purchases! Only the best of the best will be in attendance.
- SEGA’s Total War: Arena – (Wednesday 05.08. – Sunday 09.08.)
The ESL Arena provides gamescom visitors an exclusive hands-on opportunity to alpha test SEGA’s Total War: Arena, currently in development at Creative Assembly™. The team-based strategy game features epic scale real-time battles and is a multiplayer built specifically for fans of RTS and MOBA games!
- Paradox Interactive featuring Cities Skylines, Pillars of Eternity and Magicka 2 – (Wednesday 05.08. – Sunday 09.08.)
A free to play area with more than 15 PCs will be set up to allow gamescom goers the opportunity to sit back and try their hand at critically acclaimed Paradox Interactive games: Cities Skylines, Pillars of Eternity and Magicka 2.
The official ESL Event App, for iOS and Android, keeps gamescom visitors up-to-date with all Twitch-powered ESL Arena action: schedules for all the stages, with information regarding signing sessions and upcoming matches will be included, alongside opportunities to take part in conversations surrounding competitions and booths. The ESL Shop will be available in both hall 8 and hall 9, offering merchandise from clans and teams across multiple games, as well as general gaming apparel and merchandise.
