ESL France joins Vivendi to offer esports fans French league with competitions broadcast on CANAL+ satellites
ESL, the world’s largest esports company and part of international digital entertainment group MTG, integrated media and content company Vivendi, and the leading provider of premium TV channels in France, CANAL+, are proud to announce they have reached a multi-year agreement aimed at the development and broadcast of national and international esports events. Additionally, the partners announced the creation of the national French esports league, whose competitions will be distributed on the CANAL+ satellites.
ESL and his French subsidiary ESL France have over 15 years of experience in production and development of world class esports competitions, held in iconic venues and local studios around the world. The national French esports league will be organized around most reputed franchises, and all competitions will be broadcast throughout the year on CANAL+ satellites. Additionally, the partnership will create an unprecedented opportunity to increase the visibility of esports and further strengthen its position as a new sport.

ESL events in the Intel ® Extreme Masters, ESL One and Pro League series, including IEM Katowice, or ESL One Cologne, belong to the world’s most visited and watched esports productions. In addition to creation of a premier national league in France, ESL and CANAL+ partnership will give rise to an event of similar scale in France.
