ESL, the world’s largest esports company, is proud to announce the 1st ever season of ESL SEA Championship for Dota 2. The ESL SEA Championship is a regional tournament featuring 8 of the top Dota 2 teams in Southeast Asia competing for a total prize pool of US$20,000. The winner of the ESL SEA Championship will also earn a direct spot to the SEA closed qualifiers of ESL One Birmingham 2020.
The tournament will consist of 4 invited teams which will be announced at a later date. The remaining 4 teams will have to earn their spot through the open qualifiers happening between 29th Feb and 4th Mar.

The 8 teams in the ESL SEA Championship will be split into 2 GSL Groups, with 4 teams in each group. Group A matches will be played on the 9th & 10th March and Group B matches on the 25th & 26th March. The top 2 teams of each group will advance to a single-elimination playoffs happening on the 4th & 5th April. All matches are best-of-3s with the exception of the Grand Final which will be a best-of-5.
