New Operations Manager position fielded by industry veteran Peter Du
Sydney, Australia – March 23, 2022. Today ESL Australia announced the appointment of Peter Du to the position of Operations Manager, Australia. Peter Du will take this role after working as a Senior Project Manager for the last four years, helping bring to life some of Australia & New Zealand’s most successful esports programs, including the LCO, Wild Rift Oceania Championships, and a number of other white-label industry projects for clients including Red Bull and Blizzard.
“Peter’s contributions in recent years have solidified his position as backbone of ESL Australian operations. Already leading a team and many freelancers, after the stellar performance and impact Peter has made, it’s with great pleasure we extend Peter’s leadership right across operations in Australia.” said JB Hewitt, Managing Director ESL APJ.
The Operations Manager role encompasses responsibility of a wide array of services ESL delivers for their clients, partners and fans. Peter will lead ESL teams focused on execution, striving to create high quality esports programs, productions and live events.
“I’m very excited to take on this new role as we start to welcome back live events this year.” said Peter Du, Operations Manager, ESL Australia. “It’s been a bumpy two years as we, like many others in the space, have had to pivot away from the live events that we know and love, to an online environment. With the recent success of our first public event since the COVID-19 pandemic, our team is ready to get back into gear and create Australia’s most memorable live esports experiences in 2022.”
Graeme Du Toit continues to lead commercial areas of the Australian business for ESL as Head of Marketing & Sales. Nick Vanzetti and JB Hewitt will continue to support Peter, Graeme and team in the Australian business as Managing Directors.
