STOCKHOLM / NEW YORK — DreamHack, an ESL FACEIT Group brand, announced today with Psyonix, a San Diego-based video game developer, that the Rocket League Championship Series Winter Major will take place at DreamHack San Diego with a $310,000 prize pool. The event will mark the first time the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) has taken place at a DreamHack festival, and the first time a RLCS event has taken place in Psyonix’s hometown of San Diego, California. Early Bird tickets start at $85 for the three-day festival. All DreamHack San Diego tickets will give standing room access to watch RLCS — a $10 Rocket League-specific add-on to the 3-Day Pass is also available for guaranteed seating. Tickets will be available beginning on Wednesday, December 14 HERE beginning at 10am PT.

The RLCS is the premier esports league in Rocket League hosted by Psyonix, the game’s developer. The RLCS Winter Major is the largest tournament of the Winter Split, and teams will begin playing in January 2023 to qualify for the Major.The breakdown of teams that will qualify for the Winter Major is: 

• 5 teams from Europe (EU)
• 5 teams from North America (NA)
• 2 teams from Oceania (OCE)
• 2 teams from South America (SAM)
• 1 team from Middle East/North Africa (MENA)
• 1 team from Asia-Pacific (APAC)

DreamHack San Diego will be a monumental, three-day, immersive festival for all gamers offering an extraordinary experience where the gaming community comes to life April 7–9, 2023, at the San Diego Convention Center. DreamHack’s complete 2023 global tour includes 12 festivals in 9 major cities and 7 countries, including its debut in San Diego as one of three U.S. stops.
