ESL returns to North America with Intel® Extreme Masters Dallas 2023, of which the final three days will be hosted live at DreamHack Dallas.
16 top CS:GO teams from around the world will face off on May 29 – June 4 to battle it out for a $250,000 prize pool, a win in the race to securing Intel® Grand Slam V, and a spot in the IEM Cologne 2023 Group Stage.

The competition will be streamed live from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas on ESL Counter-Strike’s Twitch and YouTube channels and via dedicated broadcast partners.

Thursday, May 25, 2023, Cologne/New York/Dallas  Intel® Extreme Masters (IEM) returns to North America once again on May 29 – June 4, 2023! With the final three days of the competition being hosted at DreamHack Dallas, fans are invited to enter the arena of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center to cheer on the top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) teams from across the globe. 

Here is all you need to know about IEM Dallas 2023


IEM Dallas 2023 will see 16 top CS:GO teams compete for a total prize pool of $250,000, a win in the race to securing Intel® Grand Slam V, and a spot in the Group Stage of the IEM Cologne competition later this year. Commencing May 29, contenders from around the globe will compete in Dallas, Texas, USA, with the six best squads facing off live in front of their fans at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center on June 2 – 4. 

Schedule and Format

Group Stage (May 29 – 31): 

  • Two double-elimination format groups with eight teams each. The opening matches are best-of-one and all following matches are best-of-three.

Playoffs (June 2 – 4):

  • The top three teams from each group advance to the Playoffs with a single-elimination bracket and best-of-three matches:
    • The Group Stage winners advance to the Semifinals
    • The Group Stage runner-ups advance to the Quarterfinals as the High Seeds
    • The Group Stage third-place teams advance to the Quarterfinals as the Low Seeds

All Star Hour

Apart from the action of the official matches, IEM Dallas 2023 will feature a showmatch during which fan favorites will face off against each other. The All Star Hour will have a best-of-one format and takes place at 11 AM CDT. Fans visiting the event on-site can look forward to cheering on the teams live at the arena, while those tuning in during the broadcast from around the globe can expect an exciting transmission. For the second time in the history of Intel® Extreme Masters, the event will be hosted at the three-day, immersive gaming-lifestyle festival DreamHack, allowing visitors of the IEM competition to enjoy DreamHack Dallas and vice versa.
