Windows PlayIT event in HungExpo to host region’s best League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players
ESL and PlayIT are set to host South East Europe’s best League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams at this year’s PlayIT event in Budapest, Hungary. Battling it out for €5,000 in prize money, only the region’s best teams will make it to the offline finals.
A series of qualifiers will determine which South East European teams will make it to the finals. The fourth and final spot is reserved for the winner of a special Hungarian-only qualifier: “Our ESL SEE Championship is there to help foster growth in the region,” said Martin Kadinov, ESL Regional Manager for South East Europe. “We’re confident that the tournament is doing great things for our regional players and will continue to pave the way for South East Europeans to take part in major esports competition. We’re very excited to see the season two finals play out in the beautiful city of Budapest, and are honoured to be a part of the Windows 10 PlayIT event.”
“We are very excited to bring the first official ESL organized championship to Hungary at PlayIT, as this means putting this country on the map of international esports gaming. With more than 4 years of the event series, this is truly a great addition for the players and visitors alike,” added Gergely Csanda, Lead organizer, PlayIT.
More information regarding season two of the competition, its qualifiers and its sponsors (BenQ and Windows 10 PlayIT) can be found on the ESL Pro website.
