Eight League of Legends teams will make their way to the Intel® Extreme Masters World Championship in Katowice for a minimum of US$100,000 in prize money. Due to their success throughout this year’s 10th anniversary Intel Extreme Masters season, four teams have already been locked in. A further four (from Europe, North America, China and Korea) will be invited in the coming weeks.

- ESC Ever (Intel Extreme Masters Cologne champions)
- Qiao Gu Reapers (Intel Extreme Masters Cologne runners-up)
World Championship format
Competition in Katowice will kick-off with a group stage consisting of two groups of four. Matches will be best-of-ones in a double elimination bracket. The four best teams from the group stage will advance to the playoffs, which consist of best-of-three semi-finals and a best-of-five grand final.
