We are excited to return to gamescom this year with PLAYERUNKNOWN’s Charity Challenge. This event will feature some new ways for our community to interact with players, and all for a great cause. We have invited some of our favorite streamers and content creators, and over the course of 3 days we will bring a lot of fun and help a lot of people along the way, all in the wonderful city of Cologne!” said Brendan ‘PLAYERUNKNOWN’ Greene of PUBG Corp.

In August 2017, PUBG players and influencers competed in the gamescom PUBG Invitational, marking the very first offline invitational for PUBG. After the successful debut of the PUBG invitational at gamescom, the partnership continued by bringing PUBG to the mainstage at IEM Oakland in November 2017 and IEM Katowice in 2018 where more than $600,000 in prize money have been paid out. In addition, ESL is currently hosting up to 640 teams in the European Qualifiers tournament which is leading to the PUBG Global Invitational 2018 (PGI 2018), the biggest PUBG tournament to date.
