Season 4 Kicks Off in February and Features New Mobile Title, Dota Underlords, Plus Returning Titles, Clash of Clans and Asphalt 9: Legends
ESL, the world’s largest esports company, today announced the return of the ESL Mobile Open presented by AT&T for Season 4, 5, and 6. Registration for the fourth season begins today and will remain open through February 2, 2020.
“Mobile is providing an added layer of accessibility for esports and bringing casual gamers into the mix,” said Kevin Rosenblatt, Vice President, Product & Content, ESL. “With the ESL Mobile Open Presented by AT&T, not only are we expanding grassroots opportunities but also providing access to compete on esports biggest stages.”
Building upon a successful three seasons with over 600,000 total registrations, the ESL Mobile Open continues to offer amateur gamers in North America the chance to compete at the same stadium events as professional esports athletes and to win their share of the total over $400,000 prize pool. During Season 4 of the ESL Mobile Open, casual gamers will now have an opportunity to compete in Dota Underlords, the newest title to be added to the mobile league. Clash of Clans and Asphalt 9: Legends will also return for Season 4 as well as Season 5 and 6 of the ESL Mobile Open.
Following the Season 4 registration period, open qualifiers will take place from January 6 through February 2. Qualifying teams in each mobile title will then go head to head in closed playoffs from February 3 to February 16, followed by live broadcasts on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook from February 18 to March 5. Season 4 Finals will take place on the main stage at ESL One Los Angeles on March 20 through 22.
