ESL MOBILE OPEN PRESENTED BY AT&T INTRODUCES NEW FEATURES FOR SEASON 5

Season 5 to Include New Game Title, Auto Chess, and Integrate With PUBG MOBILE Competitive Ecosystem

ESL, the world’s largest esports company, today announced updates to the ESL Mobile Open presented by AT&T for Season 5. This season will see the addition of the popular auto battler title Auto Chess as well as integration with the PUBG MOBILE Club Open (PMCO). Registration for Asphalt 9: Legends, Clash of Clans, and PUBG MOBILE is currently open, with Auto Chess registration beginning on Thursday, March 26.

Through these and other soon to be announced updates, we believe the ESL Mobile Open is providing even more opportunities for casual mobile gamers and creating a clearer path to professional play for amateurs.” 

New for Season 5, Auto Chess will be added to ESL Mobile Open’s existing lineup of game titles, which includes Asphalt 9: Legends, Clash of Clans, and PUBG MOBILE. This is also the first season the program will be integrated into the general PUBG MOBILE competitive ecosystem. The winning team from the ESL Mobile Open Season 5 PUBG MOBILE finals will advance directly to the PMCO, bypassing the PMCO North America Open Qualifier.

Registration for Season 5 of the ESL Mobile Open presented by AT&T begins on Thursday, March 26, and will remain open through April 30. Following the Season 5 registration period, open qualifiers will take place from April 5 through April 30. Qualifying teams in each mobile title will then go head to head in closed qualifiers from May 3 through May 16, followed by the closed playoffs which will be broadcasted live on Twitch, YouTube from May 18 to June 4. A special announcement regarding the Season 5 finals will be made in the coming weeks. 

With over 600,000 registrations across seasons, the ESL Mobile Open presented by AT&T continues to offer amateur gamers in North America the chance to compete at the same stadium events as professional esports athletes and to win their share of the total over $400,000 prize pool.
