FIFA 21 Confirmed As Sixth Premier Gaming Title For Charity Esports Tournament “Gamers Without Borders” Produced By ESL Gaming

FIFA 21 to kick-off the six-week event series on June 19 with a charity prize fund of USD $1 million to be donated to global charities including UNICEF & GAVI

Cologne/Stockholm/New York – June 18, 2021 – Gamers from all corners of the globe are being invited to support COVID-19 vaccine distribution across the world in the elite esports charity series Gamers Without Borders. Kicking off the action on June 19, the most popular football video game in the world, FIFA 21 by Electronic Arts (EA), will be the first premier competition in the charity series. 

The FIFA 21 tournament will provide the winners a total of USD $1M to be donated to renowned charity organizations such as GAVI, UNICEF, KS Relief, Direct relief or IMC. As part of the programme, Gamers Without Borders will also broadcast “The Gaming Night’ starring football legend Ronaldinho.

As part of a fully packed elite tournament series that includes five additional gaming titles and an overall charity fund of USD $10 million, EA SPORTSTM FIFA 21 will start the all-online tournament in exciting  fashion. The competition will start on June 19 through June 21 and include a total of two groups of 16 players. Each group is played as a double elimination bracket with the top eight players from each group proceeding to the playoffs, broadcast on June 21 as the first big highlight of Gamers Without Borders.

The creators behind Gamers Without Borders, the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF), supported by ESL Gaming as a technical partner, have set up exciting side shows with high-profile guests throughout the six weeks. Aiming to entertain spectators from any corner of the world as well as educating them on the elite tournament series and its purpose, “The Gaming Night” will invite no other than former FC Barcelona and Brazil superstar Ronaldinho to show-off his skills on the console, as well as attend a Q&A session. In addition to these international sports stars, the series will also invite big names from the FIFA 21 scene such as FIFA streamer Bateson87, who will guarantee the very best content for fans around the world.
