The KPN eDivisie Cup set to kick-off on January 18th with the very best Dutch EA SPORTS FIFA 23 amateur players competing for a spot on stage at the Finals

– Eredivisie and DHSG launching the biggest EA SPORTS FIFA 23 fan tournament in the Netherlands as an addition to the successful league for Eredivisie Clubs, the KPN eDivisie
– The winner gets € 2,000 and a spot in the pre-selection of E_Oranje
– Players have a chance to show off their skills on stage and to become stars within the FIFA community
– With PlayStation being an official partner, the KPN eDivisie Cup will be played exclusively on the PlayStation 4 Competition Platform

Amsterdam/Copenhagen Eredivisie, the top-level Football league in the Netherlands, and DreamHack Sports Games (DHSG), an ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) brand, today announced the KPN eDivisie Cup, a new FIFA 23 fan tournament, inviting all Dutch FIFA players on PlayStation 4 to compete for glory and a special prize pool while representing their favorite Eredivisie club. The KPN eDivisie Cup is an initiative of the Eredivisie and DHSG in association with EA SPORTS™ FIFA 23, KPN, and PlayStation.

The Eredivisie and DHSG have a long-standing partnership revolving around producing and the Dutch eFootball league for Eredivisie clubs, the KPN eDivisie. The KPN eDivisie Cup will be a brand new addition to the KPN eDivisie brand and will enable all Dutch FIFA players and KPN eDivisie fans to show off their skills and to be revealed as new talents within the Dutch FIFA community. 

The KPN eDivisie Cup features five online events and two offline events in the KPN eDivisie Arena, created to let players represent their very favorite Eredivisie Club throughout the cup. 

Online events (Played on PlayStation 4)

  • January 18th: Online Qualifier (PlayStation 4) 
  • January 25th: Online Qualifier (PlayStation 4)
  • February 1st: Online Qualifier (PlayStation 4)
  • February 8th: Online Qualifier (PlayStation 4)
  • February 15th: Club Playoffs (PlayStation 4)

Offline events (Played on PlayStation 5)

  • February 22nd: Club Championships (Played in the H20 Studio, Purmerend)
  • TBA: Finals

Each of the four online qualifiers will deliver one winner for each of the 18 Eredivisie clubs being represented in the Cup, meaning that the Club playoffs will feature 72 of the very best EA SPORTS FIFA 23 players in the country. When reaching the Club Championship, the first arena event,  the 72 players will have been reduced to a total of 18 players – one per Eredivisie club. The 18 Club Champions will have the honor of representing their club on stage at the KPN eDivisie Cup Finals 2023.

Prize pool

There is no doubt that the KPN eDivisie Cup will make new talents shine and add some brand new faces to the existing collection of Dutch professional EA SPORTS FIFA 23 players! The winner gets € 2,000, a spot in the pre-selection of E_Oranje, the official E_Football team of the Dutch National Football Team, and a traineeship or visit to his or her favorite KPN eDivisie club. Top 4 players also get a Trust Gaming Chair and many other prizes will be made available by PlayStation.
