Cologne/New YorkApril 25, 2023ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the leading esports and video game entertainment company, today announced an expanded roadmap for the April start of Year 2 of the Snapdragon Pro Series Powered by Samsung Galaxy, the world’s largest multi-game mobile esports competition. With a cumulative prize pool of up to USD $2,575,000 million across 10 games, Year 2 will make it possible for even more long-time players and new competitors to face off for the title of mobile esports champion in their favorite games.

In Year 1, the Snapdragon Pro Series has seen a 60 percent increase in viewership and has attracted 2 million global players since its launch in April 2022. Those players have participated in 7.5 million matches, with USD $2.3 million in prize money awarded to top competitors.

Introducing Year 2

For the first time, Latin American players will have an opportunity to compete on Samsung Galaxy devices in Call of Duty: Mobile, Garena Free Fire, Asphalt 9, and more as part of the Snapdragon Pro Series. With nearly a quarter of the world’s mobile gamers based in Latin America, the program’s expansion into the region is core to EFG and Qualcomm Technologies Inc.’s commitment to improving access to mobile esports.

Year 2 will also introduce a partnership with Activision Publishing, Inc., bringing Call of Duty: Mobile to the Snapdragon Pro Series. The competition will continue to grow in Asia-Pacific, with expansions to the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Garena Free Fire programs.

Updates to Year 2 include:

  • Brawl Stars: The Snapdragon Pro Series will become a point-earning circuit for European teams on the road to the Brawl Stars World Finals.
  • Call of Duty: Mobile: In partnership with Activision Publishing, Inc., Call of Duty: Mobile will become a Mobile Masters title and feature a USD $1.5 million prize pool during its first year as part of the Snapdragon Pro Series. The first season of the year will lead to the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship, and the second season will conclude at Mobile Masters.
  • Garena Free Fire: After a standout year for the program featuring some of the highest viewership of the Snapdragon Pro Series worldwide, Garena Free Fire will become a Mobile Masters title in Year 2 with a USD $200,000 prize pool.
  • Mobile Legends: Bang Bang: Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will add a USD $150,000 event to its Snapdragon Pro Series circuit and become EFG’s first-ever stand-alone stadium event for mobile esports.
