PURPOSE OF ROLE:
As a Broadcast Engineer, you will be involved directly in planning and organizing both live and taped broadcasts for studio and event productions around the world. You will be required to support shows of all sizes, supporting all technical aspects of our TV broadcasts – this includes but is not limited to: creating signal flows and documentation, equipment bookings, research and development, maintenance, quality assurance, event staffing.
Requirements:
- Must have previous experience as a broadcast engineer in esports, live sports or entertainment.
- Fluent English language, both spoken and written.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively, with the ability to prioritize based on scope and deadlines.
- Must be able to work under time pressure and remain calm in challenging, fast paced situations.
- Must have a strong attention to detail and organization with a drive for results and collaboration.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, as this role requires coverage beyond standard business hours.
- Frequent ability to travel to events, both domestically and internationally.
- Extensive technical production expertise, including proficiency with video/audio standards (3G-SDI, AES/EBU, Dante, MADI, AES67), encoding systems (Elemental, LiveU, OBS), and a range of professional broadcast equipment such as video switchers (Blackmagic, Grass Valley, vMix), audio consoles (Allen & Heath, Behringer, Yamaha), and de/embedders.
Bonus Requirements:
- Experience with Esports.
- Background in esports and media production, supported by a formal degree in production, broadcast, TV, media, or a related field, and practical familiarity with IP-based media workflows like NDI and SRT.
- Hands-on experience in cable termination (BNC, XLR, RJ45, Powercon), power distribution best practices, and configuration of network systems and switches (Juniper, MikroTik, Netgear AV, UniFi).
