Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, Cologne/New York – The longest-running Dota 2 league will make its grand return this weekend as DreamLeague powered by Intel® enters its 22nd season. Kicking off on February 25th, the two-week online tournament will feature the best teams in the world battling against each other to claim the coveted title and take home the lion’s share of the $1,000,000 total prize pool.
Furthermore, the winning team will receive 4,200 of the 17,885 available ESL Pro Tour (EPT) Points with which they will take a big leap towards the top of the EPT Leaderboard. At the end of the EPT season, the squads placed highest on that leaderboard will secure one of 20 spots in Riyadh Masters at the inaugural season of Esports World Cup (EWC) as it searches for the first Club World Champion. Taking place in the summer 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, EWC will pit the world’s top elite esports athletes against one another, across multiple game titles for the largest-ever prize pool at EWC festival, while fans can look forward to experiencing the best esports and gaming have to offer.
Here is all you need to know about DreamLeague Season 22 powered by Intel®:
DreamLeague Season 22 will take place online from February 25th – March 10th, 2024. The tournament will begin with Group Stage 1 which will see two groups of eight elite Dota 2 teams face off against each other to determine which eight teams will proceed to Group Stage 2. From there, the top four teams will then continue their battle in the double elimination Playoffs bracket.
The two best teams will advance to the Grand Finals to battle for the biggest share of the $1,000,000 total prize pool and the coveted title.

Schedule and Format:
Group Stage 1: February 25th – 28th
- The 16 teams will be split into two single round-robin groups of eight. From there, each series will consist of two games, with the top four teams from each group advancing to Group Stage 2.
Group Stage 2: March 1st – 7th
- The remaining eight teams will compete against each other in one group through a best-of-three round-robin. The top four teams will advance to the Playoffs where the top two of Group Stage 2 will be placed into the upper bracket and the others will be placed into the lower bracket.
Playoffs: March 9th – 10th
- The final four teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket. The winner of the upper bracket will proceed to the Grand Finals while the loser will have one last chance in the lower bracket final. There, they will compete against the winner of the first round of the lower bracket, with the winning squad advancing to the Grand Finals.
Grand Finals: March 10th
- The final match is a best-of-five series, where the winner will be crowned DreamLeague Season 22 Champions and take home the top prize of $300,000, and 4,200 EPT points.
