ESL Gaming Extends Reach by Partnering with Isreali Linear TV Station The Gaming Channel

For the remainder of 2021, select ESL Pro Tour CS:GO tournaments as well as ESL Mobile content will be officially broadcasted in Hebrew in Israel as The Gaming Channel obtains exclusive rights

STOCKHOLM/COLOGNE/NEW YORK, July 26, 2021 – ESL Gaming, the world’s largest esports company, has today announced a new partnership with The Gaming Channel, enabling gaming and esports fans from Israel to enjoy a selection of ESL tournaments on linear national TV in Hebrew for the very first time.

Starting off with Intel® Extreme Masters Cologne 2021, the deal entails the exclusive rights for The Gaming Channel to broadcast major ESL Pro Tour tournaments for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive throughout the rest of 2021 in Hebrew language. The agreement includes the rights to broadcast IEM Cologne 2021, ESL Pro League Season 14, IEM Fall and ESL National Championships Global Playoffs: Fall 2021 on linear TV in Israel.

Furthermore, The Gaming Channel will also be granted the full rights to broadcast two tournaments from ESL’s newest esports ecosystem – ESL Mobile: PUBG Mobile EU and ESL Mobile: Clash of Clans EU. The ESL Mobile program launched earlier this year, providing millions of gamers worldwide the opportunity to compete and engage with top mobile gaming titles and fostering the ever-growing popularity of mobile gaming and esports.

In addition, the channel has obtained the rights for digital and VOD broadcasts to reach even bigger audiences. The complete broadcast will be in Hebrew in order to ensure the best possible experience for local fans.

“We are thrilled to partner with The Gaming Channel and to thereby offer the esports community in Israel localised broadcasts of some of the world’s biggest esports competitions,” said Frank Uddo, Senior Vice President Media Rights at ESL Gaming. “We are looking forward to this new partnership with The Gaming Channel and further expanding our local reach.”

“Our partnership with ESL is a huge step for esports fans in Israel,” said Yoav Sochen, General Manager for the Gaming Channel. “For the first time ever, Israeli gamers will have the opportunity to enjoy some of the world’s biggest events in Hebrew, on their TV. The esports scene in Israel is growing fast, and we can’t wait to see how ESL will help shape the next generation of competitive gamers in Israel.”
