ESL FACEIT Group Signs Exclusive, Multi-Year Media Rights Deal with VTV-Cab

The partnership brings EFG’s world-class esports competitions to the Vietnamese market through localized broadcasts

Cologne/New York/Hanoi – ESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the leading competitive gaming and esports company, and VTV-Cab, part of VTV, the largest broadcaster group in Vietnam, today announced the signing of a multi-year media rights partnership. The language-exclusive agreement covers the delivery, production, and localization of the biggest EFG competitions for Vietnamese viewers via VTV-Cab’s linear and digital channels, contributing to expanding their activity into esports as the official license holder.

As our world-class esports tournaments continue to expand, it is our priority to make them accessible to as many fans as possible — and to execute those broadcasts in a manner that makes them available to all,” said Nick Vanzetti, SVP Asia-Pacific Japan, EFG. “We couldn’t be more thrilled for this partnership with VTV-Cab as it brings us closer to achieving our goal and allows us to share some of the best esports moments with our fans from this region.

The deal includes the rights to cover and broadcast the full portfolio of ESL and DreamHack branded and operated competitions, including the ESL Pro Tour ecosystem for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) and StarCraft 2, the recently concluded Intel® Extreme Masters Rio Major, the first-ever CS:GO Major to take place in Brazil, as well as ESL Impact, the CS:GO women’s circuit events, the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) produced by DreamHack, DOTA 2 tournaments and much more. In addition, mobile esports fans from Vietnam will also get the opportunity to watch and enjoy one of the biggest mobile tournament series worldwide, the Snapdragon Pro Series. It’s the first-ever partnership of this size with the indisputable leader of Vietnamese public broadcasters.

“It is very exciting for our two companies, both leaders in each of our industries, to join forces in a manner that allows the people of this region an opportunity to watch these exceptional competitions and broadcasts,” said Bui Huy Nam, CEO, VTVcab. “We constantly collaborate with strategic partners to expand our nationwide network, so it is very exciting for us now to offer EFG’s top-notch tournaments to our communities.”

Jointly, EFG and VTV-Cab will work to create exclusive content and deliver the greatest esports competitions to the local Vietnamese communities. Make sure to stay up to date on the latest news, head to eslfaceitgroup.com, or follow EFG on LinkedIn.
