ESL FACEIT Group and Supercell Announce Multi-Year Mobile Esports Partnership to Produce Snapdragon Pro Series Brawl Stars Championship Powered by Samsung Galaxy

Competition across Nearly 200 Countries in the up to USD $2,000,000 Circuit Begins in March and Concludes with the Brawl Stars World Finals in November

February 29, 2024 Cologne/New York/San Diego/HelsinkiESL FACEIT Group (EFG), the leading esports and video game entertainment company, and mobile game development company Supercell today announced a partnership to make the Snapdragon Pro Series Powered by Samsung Galaxy the operator of the Brawl Stars Championship. This year’s circuit will feature up to USD $2,000,000 in prizes, with Supercell offering a crowdfunding component for November’s Brawl Stars World Finals as well. Each month, millions of players and thousands of teams across five global regions will compete for a coveted spot in the Brawl Stars World Finals.

The collaboration builds on the ongoing relationship between EFG and Supercell. Brawl Stars was a centerpiece of the inaugural season of the Snapdragon Pro Series and its first-ever Mobile Masters title, with the Brawl Stars finals hosted at DreamHack Japan in May 2023 awarding a total prize pool of USD $200,000.

The deal secures Brawl Stars, a fast-paced 3v3 multiplayer and battle royale game – one of the most popular mobile titles in the world with hundreds of millions of installs – as a mainstay in Snapdragon Pro Series competition in the years to come. The game’s esports scene flourished last year with more than 273,000 peak viewers for the 2023 Brawl Stars World Finals.

“The Snapdragon Pro Series has proven itself as a top-tier circuit for mobile esports through its global reach and high production value,” said Kim Jensen, Head of Brawl Stars Esports at Supercell. “We look forward to working with the EFG team to reach new audiences and solidify Brawl Stars as a leading mobile esport.”

Brawl Stars Championship will be available in more than 190 countries and territories through five regional leagues: Asia-Pacific; Europe, Middle East, and Africa; North America; South America; and the Chinese Mainland.

APAC, EMEA, and North and South America will compete in online Monthly Qualifiers and Monthly Finals that provide teams with a pathway to the World Finals alongside an offline last-chance qualifier (LCQ) in late August. Details of the location of the LCQ and World Finals will be revealed at a later date.

“Brawl Stars has been a catalyst for the growth of the Snapdragon Pro Series since Day 1, as has our work with Supercell across other titles such as Clash of Clans,” said Sam Braithwaite, Vice President of Game Ecosystems, Mobile, ESL FACEIT Group. “Our fundamental knowledge  of the Brawl Stars esports ecosystem and years of experience operating mobile leagues at a global scale position us to make the Brawl Stars Championship 2024 the best one yet.”
