The World’s Best Women CS:GO Players to Battle for the Title at DreamHack Winter

DreamHack Winter Returns to Jönköping, Sweden in Full Force November 24-27, 2022

The Biggest DreamHack Festival of the Year Will Feature Everything Gaming Under One Roof at the Elmia Congress Center

STOCKHOLM — DreamHack Winter is back! The immersive, gaming lifestyle festival will return to Jönköping, Sweden, with a full-fledged festival experience packed with content. DreamHack Winter will take place November 24-27, 2022, at the Elmia Congress Center, offering everything gaming under one roof. Tickets are available now at dreamhack.com/winter/tickets.

DreamHack creates an arena where the community can come to connect, explore, win, play a part, and be yourself through the gaming lifestyle experience. Whether festival-goers are admiring cosplay costumes, participating in tournaments, watching pros compete, learning to stream, or testing technology at the expo, DreamHack offers an unforgettable experience.

The doors will open for LAN participants on November 24. Doors open for the general public the next day, on November 25. Please note it is not necessary to bring you own computer to enjoy the DreamHack experience — the festival offers an array of activities for all visitors, including a freeplay area where you can test a number of popular PC games.

“It’s always exciting to bring DreamHack back home to where it all started in Sweden,” said Chrostoffer Melin, Director of DreamHack Festivals. “The DreamHack experience truly has no equal and is open for all, regardless if you want to bring your own computer or not. We can’t wait to once again share this experience with our Nordic community.”

DreamHack Winter 2022 will also host the Season 2 Global Finals of ESL Impact, the unique, all-women Counter-Strike:Global Offensive (CS:GO) circuit launched earlier this year. ESL Impact helps to boost women in the CS:GO scene by providing a platform for new stars to be born and existing players to develop, all in a sustainable ecosystem. ESL Impact is the first initiative launched under the #GGFORALL program, which powers progress through esports and gaming. The ESL Impact Season 2 Global Finals will feature the top eight all-women teams in the world competing for a prize pool of USD $123,000.

“We’re proud to bring ESL Impact, which is a part of our GGFORALL program, to Sweden and DreamHack Winter this year,” said Charlie Sirc, ESL Impact Product Manager at ESL FACEIT Group. “We truly believe that ‘it’s not Good Game until it’s Good Game for all’ focuses on pushing the boundaries to ultimately make gaming and esports an inclusive, respectful and all-empowering space. To watch the tremendously talented women competing in ESL Impact will be an amazing experience for all attending DreamHack Winter.”

For visitors who want to compete themselves, the LAN area offers competitions in CS:GO,  Rocket League, and other games. Furthermore, there are plenty of competitions open for all visitors where they get the chance to take home some really nice prizes such as gaming hardware.
